Cyber Security

Cyber security is the state or process of protecting and recovering networks, devices and programs from any type of cyber attack.
Cyber attacks are an evolving danger to organizations, employees and consumers. They may be designed to access or destroy sensitive data or extort money. They can, in effect, destroy businesses and damage your financial and personal lives — especially if you’re the victim of identity theft.

This includes all technology that stores, manipulates, or moves data, such as computers, data networks, and all devices connected to or included in networks, such as routers and switches. All information technology devices and facilities need to be secured against intrusion, unauthorized use, and vandalism.

Additionally, the users of information technology should be protected from theft of assets, extortion, identity theft, loss of privacy and confidentiality of personal information, malicious mischief, and damage to equipment, business process compromise, and the general activity of cyber criminals. The public should be protected against acts of cyber terrorism, such as the compromise or loss of the electric power grid.

CSC Academy has developed the Cyber Security online skill course with the industry experts for the VLEs and citizens in general to spot vulnerabilities, fend of attacks, and immediately respond to emergencies.
