CSC by virtue of being a licensed Certifying Authority (CA) under the Ministry of IT, Government of India, can issue legally valid eSignatures. Under the Information Technology Act, CSC eSign is legally valid and substitutes the need for a physical or wet signature.

CSC eSign service allows to replace manual paper based signatures by integrating APIs which will allow an Aadhaar holder to electronically sign a form/document anytime, anywhere legally in India. eSign service facilitates significant reduction in paper handling cost, improves efficiency, and offer convenience to the customers.

CSC provides seamless and secure platform for eSign services available for individual, organizations and banks as per the regulations and guidelines mentioned and articulated in the CCA framework which is entrusted by the IT Act 2000.
