The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), formerly known as The Indian Institute of Bankers (IIB), is a professional body of Banks, Financial Institutions, and their employees in India. Its main objective is to develop professionally qualified and competent bankers and finance professionals primarily through a process of education, training, examination, consultancy/counselling and continuing professional development programs.

This course is aimed at providing the knowledge inputs and skills set to BCs. The structure of the course is, therefore to provide basic knowledge in banking operations and help the BCs in developing an overall understanding of the subject.

Examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other vernacular languages viz., Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Assamese. The examination will be conducted in bilingual mode.

The examination pattern includes:
• Question Paper will contain 100 objective type multiple choice questions for 100 marks.
• The examination will be held in Online Mode only
• There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers.

The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.

Minimum marks required by a student for passing in the examination in 40 out of 100.

Some of the pre-application requisites should be taken care before submission of an online application for the examination:
• Applicant should have scanned copy of his/her
o Photograph
o Signature
o ID proof ensuring that all are within the required specifications
• To make online payment, applicant should keep ready the necessary details about his/her Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking
• Applicant must have a valid personal email id as admit letter of the examination will be emailed to the personal email id only.

Minimum technical specifications required by the VLE for conducting the examination are:
• An internet connectivity of at-least 512 kbps.
• An updated version of Supported Browser should be installed on the system.
• Make sure that the pop-up blocker should be disabled.
• Uninstall any third party software (block Antivirus, Remote Desktop applications like any desk etc.).
• Install webcam on the system before starting the test and check the webcam before the test, as it should be in a working condition.
• Turn off chat applications (Google talk, yahoo messenger etc), antivirus, auto updates, and other notifications.

Candidate should follow the exam timings and he/she should report at center 15 minutes prior to exam. Candidate appearing after the exam time scheduled will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Allowed time is 10 AM to 4 PM from Monday to Friday.

Candidate should present/show original ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/Pan Card/Driving Licence) at the time of exam in examination center.

No refund or adjustment of examination fees can be made, in case candidates remain absent for the examination.

Only E- Certificates or digitally signed certificates will be sent to students on successful completion of the examination. The certificates will be sent to email registered with the Institute within 3 weeks after the result declaration.

Consolidated mark sheet for candidates completing examination having more than one subject, will be available on the Institute's website after the declaration of results. Candidates can download the same after entering login credentials using their membership number and edit profile password.
