Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) is a Schedule ‘C’ Miniratna Category II Central Public Sector Enterprises, registered under Section 8 (Not for Profit motive) of the Companies Act 2013, is functioning under the Administrative Control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

CSC SPV and ALIMCO

ALIMCO has partnered with CSC SPV to utilize all Common Service Centres/VLEs to create awareness about ALIMCO initiatives and to register Divyangjans & Senior Citizens for getting free of cost assistive aids and appliances under various schemes.

Beneficiaries (Divyangjans/Sr. Citizens) may visit nearest Common Service Centre with required documents as per the Schemes for registration. VLEs at CSCs will register the person on online portal by capturing photograph, Name, Age, Block/District of residence and other demographic details, details of the Aadhar Card, if available, & upload of ID proof, Valid Disability Certificate & Income proof.

Objectives of ALIMCO

The main objectives of the Corporation are:


1. To promote, encourage and develop the availability, use, supply and distribution at reasonable cost in the country of Artificial Limbs and accessories and constituents thereof to needy persons particulary disabled Defence personnel, hospitals and such other welfare institutions.
2. To establish facilities for the manufacture of Artificial Limbs and accessories and constituents thereof and all other things which can be or may conveniently be used for the manufacture of or in connection with such articles, things as aforesaid.
3. To carry on the business of manufacturers, buyers, sellers, importers, exporters, dealers in and of Artificial Limbs and accessories and constituents thereof and all other things which can be or may conveniently be used for the manufacture of or in connection with such articles, things as aforesaid.

Objectives of Collaboration

The main objectives of this collaboration are:


1. Sensitization and mobilization for various Government and CSR schemes for the welfare of Divyangjans and Senior Citizens under ALIMCO
2. To create a hassle-free system whereby any Divyangjan and Sr. Citizen may register within the locality through CSCs for availing benefit of Scheme of ALIMCO
3. Generating data of potential beneficiaries at district before conducting assessment camp to maximize resource utilization
4. To minimise the error of duplication of beneficiaries with the linkage of Aadhar number.
