What is Telemedicine service?

Telemedicine is the form of primary care offered through a CSC, where the patient seeks the doctor’s advice about non-emergency medical problems, which don’t require immediate doctor‘s location visit. It doesn’t replace face-to-face consultation when it is needed, but complements it. With the aim to provide grass root level access points for health consultation among the communities, to change health seeking behavior of adopting digital services and to promote preventive health care services among the rural India, CSC is offering video based tele-consultation service throughout India at affordable rates, using CSC DigitalSeva transaction portal.

What are the available platforms of Telemedicine?

Tele-Health Consultation is offered through the CSCs across the Country on two platforms:

  • 1. Apollo Telemedicine platform
  • 2. CSC’s Tele-Medicine service
  • 3. Mfine Tele-medicine consulatation

What are the various specialties available at CSC telemedicine platform?

Through CSC telemedicine platform, consultation can be avail for below numerated specialties:

  • • Allopathy
  • • Ayurveda
  • • Homeopathy
  • • e-pashu

What amount patient has to pay for telemedicine consultation?

The patient has to pay Rs. 50 for telemedicine consultation.

What is the VLE commission structure?

VLE will get a commission of Rs. 19.10.

How a patient will talk to the doctor?

Patient will get consultation from doctor through video calling at his nearest CSC Centre.

What are Pre-requisite materials for video consultation required at CSCs?

Several pre-requisite materials for conducting video consultation at CSCs are laptop/desktop, internet connectivity, web-camera, headphones with Mic and Printer.

What is the required internet connectivity speed to make video consultation?

512 kbps is the required internet connectivity speed for Apollo Telemedicine and 216 kbps is required speed for CSC Telemedicine Platform.

Can a patient speak to the doctor on phone call?

No, the patient can speak to a doctor only via Video Call from his nearest CSC Centre.

From where a VLE can view/download prescription?

To view/download prescription, VLE have to follow steps:

  • Step 1: Log in Digital Seva Portal
  • Step 2: Click on Health Services
  • Step 3: Choose CSC Telemedicine
  • Step 4: Click on “Dashboard” then “View”

What are the consultation timings?

In CSC Telemedicine patients can consult doctors from 8am to 8pm (Monday-Sunday) whereas consultation timings under Apollo Tele-Medicine is on appointment basis.

What all languages are available for telemedicine consultation?

Various languages in which telemedicine consultation can be provided through CSC are: English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, and Marathi.

From where the patients will get his/her medicine?

VLE can order the prescribed medicines from digital seva portal for the patients and patient can collect his medicines from CSC centre.

In how many days will the patient receive his/her medicines?

Medicines will be delivered at CSC Centre on the name of the patient in 7 working days from the date of ordering the medicines.

Do patients need to pay for medicine or courier?

Yes, the patient needs to pay for medicine or courier service.

Who will direct the patients on consumption of medicine?

Doctors and VLE’s will help the patients to understand the consumption of medicine.

What are essential requirements that must be present in CSC centers for delivering telemedicine services?

Various requirements which must be met for providing telemedicine services through CSC are:

  • • Internet connectivity of minimum 216 Kbps
